Air Deccan Memories.

I was living as a forced bachelor in
Mumbai from 2005 to 2007.
Over the weekend I used to travel between Mumbai , Chennai and back.

Air Deccan was a super hit at that time.
Advance booking fares .1Re ,Rs.250 and Rs.500. Rs 232 Airport Tax.

One day I was longing to go to  my hometown, started booking for all the 4 weekends and got few 1re tickets, Rs 250  and Rs.500 Was very happy
Sometimes auto fare to the airport used to be more.
Their website used to display the availability and the fare for the next two months.
From there on booked the tickets for all the weekends.

I was enjoying the trips and the only problem was flight departures were delayed and sometimes got canceled .no refund of course.
Sometimes midnight flights take off at morning 6 AM.

Mumbai Santacruz was my weekend outing on Friday night.
On the other side, I used to do pranayaman on monday early morning at the Chennai airport.

One or two flight delays caused friction with my reporting manager sometimes
.
My friends used to laugh at me and say you made Santacruz domestic airport as a long-distance bus depot.

Nevertheless, the  LCA carrier helped to meet my family for a year or so.

Emotionally thankful to the carrier even now.A boon for me

Sweet little kid

Varun.Sweet little kid. Let us invoke the learner in us. Let us learn from everywhere. A small story. In my apartment floor, there are 6 flats., that consists of families speaking different languages. Telugu Kannada Bengali Badaga (one of the languages of Nilagiri hills belt) Tamil -2 families. A cute 2+ age, a little boy named  Varun of one of the Telugu speaking family visits all of us daily. He identifies the small things and repeats what we say. Suppose we ask him, show us the Buddha statue in Tamil and he understands and take us there. He may be playing and running inside  around for 15 minutes  or so, interacts with us in Tamil sometimes .we are also recollecting our Hyderabad days and try our little Telugu also.
