Customer

Customer-Centric
We decided to buy a plot to construct a house and approached a real estate consultant
Out of five plots, we selected one and said we will contact him once we finalize.
The next day we went around the area to do a survey and hear from the community. We got a positive response. One of them suggested to contact the plot owner and shared his landline number.
We spoke to the owner, planned to meet the next day, and mentioned the consultant.
The next day we three met at a commonplace.
The deal was struck. The consultant asked the owner since I brought the client and I need the brokerage from you also. The owner denied saying, you should have updated me. Both went into heated arguments, finally, we have to intervene and told the consultant we will pay some amount as it's our mistake of directly contacting the owner.
The consultant said thanks but insisted on payment by the owner also. Again argument continued, suddenly we stepped in and told we will withdraw the deal if you both fight like this. Both were shocked and the owner accepted to pay some amount as brokerage.
Take Away: Even though the issue was with the customer, the business owner should close the deal with partners provided does not affect their margins and above all not lose the customer.
