Village Life .A Rewind

Village life.A Rewind
Born in a small village, 400 kms from Chennai.

I wish to go back to the golden period where innocence dominated our lives .

Simple living, full of life.
Studied in my mother tongue Tamil up to 5th Std and switched over to English medium. It was tough. My Grandpa and my elder brothers took turns to train us along with other friends' English reading and writing during our summer holidays.
The high school was 4kms  away and we have to cross  the river or go through the bridge. We had so much fun playing and enjoyed all the community gatherings.

I recollect two incidents. May be related to my current role as BDM.

1. Our beautiful backyard had 6 coconut trees and 8 banana trees. One season, we got a big harvest of banana in excess. Myself, my brother took it to a nearby shop and sold it .3 Paise for one fruit .we got 2 rs 25 paise for 75 numbers.
Very happy. We completed a deal. We wanted to know how much the shop keeper makes. My friend helped us and found out he was selling 5paise per fruit.
Takeaway.As a B2B understood B2C.

 2. During village celebrations, we became retailers. We used to sell groundnut cakes 5 cakes for  2 paise,  buying from a wholesaler for 1 paise.
Takeaway .B2C market experience.

Your childhood stories..please.
